I've a few experiences myself, but one of them happened at a friends house. The house is where her family had moved to when they were kids (there being only 6 of them at that time) and it had more than one haunting...
A few years ago at a new years party, I saw a man in a suit in the doorway to the living room, I was talking to my friend when I saw him, and only realized after he disappeared. I abruptly left the conversation to see who it was. There were several people in the kitchen and I asked if anyone had gone through there, and they said no. They couldn't have gone upstairs or we'd have hear them, the only other way was the front door which was shut and was very stiff to open... When I went back into the living room, my friend asked where I disappeared to, so I told her. And she told me her mum, Lou, had seen a guy in a suit appear an disappear before.
And the other ghosts were children...
One night a friend of the family was babysitting the kids in the house. She heard noise coming from upstairs in the boys room after all the kids had gone to bed. So she went up there to tell them off, and found them in bed and their cupboard door open. She closed the door and told them to behave, and they said it wasn't them, it was the ghosts. She didn't believe them and told them off and went downstairs... and she heard it again, so back up she went to find the cupboard door open again, and told them off and left. But this time she didn't go downstairs, she wanted to catch them at it. So as soon as she heard a noise, she flung open the door and switched the light on, only to find the boys in their beds and the cupboard door open again, with no way they could have jumped into bed before she surprised them. She then went downstairs and called their parents, who confirmed there were ghost kids there. Not only that, their 2 youngest daughters who were born after they moved into the house, both had supposed imaginary friends that seemed to coincide with odd occurences. And when another friend of the family, Pauline, was house sitting, she heard children laughing and playing upstairs when she and the dog were the only ones in the house. She promptly ran out of the house, leaving the dog locked in the house. The dog had torn up the sofa by the time the family came back and Pauline refused to go into the house alone again.
My friend now lives in the house with her kids, her parents moved across the estate.

You wouldn't believe this, but our psychics believe that your friend's house is also the house of a family that resides in the other world (alternate reality or astral plane.)
We have encountered experiences that are similar to this one. Those kids, and the mysterious man in a suit are spirits, most likely, not of human origin.
We wouldn't know for sure but it's a strong possibility, base on our experiences.

Some spirits play tricks on us, though that doesn't mean they are malevolent spirits. In fact, some of them even bring good luck.
However, if things get nasty, you may be needing help from a real shaman, and I don't mean those who are after your money.
Why ask for a shaman if you can seek help from a priest?
Most priest don't know how to exorcise a house, that's why.
Well the ghosts weren't malevolent at all. The man in the suit just appeared and disappeared, but Lou had seen him a few times.
And the ghost kids, like I said seemed to be friendly as they used to play with Lou's 2 youngest daughters. But like most kids, are always a little mischevious.
My friend doesn't mind them being there as they've never caused any real problems appart from scaring people (but that wasn't nessicarily deliberate) So she's happy for them to call it home aswell.
And why can't priests exorcise houses? Are you saying that God is not real?
God is real Josh. If there are lower class entities, then there's also the most High.
The problem is not with God but with the church. Early christians know how to exorcise, however, some to most of "holy men" of the modern church does not. That maybe because their faith is weak or maybe because something's wrong with their church.
Whatever the reason.. you can sense that there's something that's not right.
We also had a spirit in our house. They sometimes make their presence known but never cause us any problems.
It's kinda weird though. If they are spirits, why is that they also play like human beings, and act as if they are ordinary people?
That dudley, is beyond our knowledge.
Though we have conducted a survey on different people with ghost/spirit-related experiences and found out that most of them share the same experiences. Of the many stories we'd gathered, we'd noticed that most of the spirits had exhibit human resemblance.
We are yet to ascertain as to why.
